Our history goes back to the Taisho Period (1912-1926), when handmade paper was especially popular in Japan. Kusukichi Mori started making handmade paper at the foot of the mountains in Kusaka (now Hidaka), a village near the Niyodo River. And Kusukichi Mori made 'Tenguchoshi,' the thinnest paper in the world. In 1964, Izumi Mori (the current president) began using the Koburi machining method; and our business then made the transition from handmade to machine-made. In 1969, Mori Paper Corporation., Ltd was established and began manufacturing mimeograph paper.
In recent years, we have taken advantage of our time-honored wisdom and techniques to develop and manufacture added-quality papers using materials such as natural fiber, synthetic fiber, functional material, and chemicals as well as our unique processing techniques. Mori Paper Corporation, Ltd is able to develop, manufacture and sell in small quantities as well as in large quantities.
If you have an idea for new merchandise, let us know and we will attempt to manufacture it.
